The Cheyenne Artists Guild is happy to announce that we will be participating in the Cheyenne Art Walk program again this year.
Every second Thursday from April through December we will be having featured artists at the guild. Artists will have on display and for sale their various works, ranging from blown glass, acrylic, watercolor, 3D sculptures and photography.
We will be bringing you detailed information on each artist as it becomes available to us. If you would like to know how you can become one of our featured artists for this wonderful event please contact the guild via email, phone or simply dropping by.
Cheyenne Art Walk 2017
November 9th 5-8 PM Joe Eisenhart "My name is Joe Eisenhart. I attended the University of Wyoming and received a degree in elementary education. Painting has been my favorite hobby. Each painting I do, I learn something new that makes the next one even better. The medium I use is acrylic and I primarily paint landscapes. I have been painting since I was a kid and most of my learning is self-taught with some tips and tricks from small classes at Michael’s or Pinot’s Palette. I am blind in my left eye which I believe slows me down enough to see more details and what really makes depth. A big compliment I received was that I “see more color than most people with two eyes do.” I focus hard on base/dominant colors, individual shapes, and all the little nooks and crannies that make an object. I love painting because it expresses what words can’t. I am much better at showing rather than telling. What I love is when a painting evokes thoughts and feelings in another person and brings others together. When I paint, I listen to classic country music which really helps me focus on emotion. I have done a lot of paintings for others and nothing brings more joy than seeing them so excited about the perfect spot they will put the painting."
